In September and August I began working on some vintage quilt tops. The tops were originally going to be machine quilted by a professional long arm quilter but things didn’t work out as planned and I was commissioned to do the quilting.
Since I am still in the “learning stages” when it comes to machine quilting, this was a little intimidating. The thought of “messing up” a vintage item was pretty scary!
So, I took a deep breath and just started with what I new so far and made up the rest as I went along.
Here is the first quilt. Here is a close up of the front.
Here is how the back looks.
Here is the second quilt.
I'd have been scared too but you did an excellent job.
ReplyDeleteOH PATTY...what a wonderful job you did on the quilting....i gave in this weekend to "hand" quilting the baby quilt i have posted about earlier....i too am afraid to machine quilt yet...so afraid i would mess it up.
ReplyDeleteand THANK YOU..THANK YOU..for the info about my pictures not enlarging after i post them.....that is exactly what i did....i moved the pictures instead of my text....that was the first time i had ever done it that way....i knew that my pictures had always enlarged before.....thank you so much again....!
Patty, you don't need to go see a "professional"... you ARE a professional!
