Machine Quilting Vingtage Quilt Tops

In September and August I began working on some vintage quilt tops. The tops were originally going to be machine quilted by a professional long arm quilter but things didn’t work out as planned and I was commissioned to do the quilting.

Since I am still in the “learning stages” when it comes to machine quilting, this was a little intimidating. The thought of “messing up” a vintage item was pretty scary!

So, I took a deep breath and just started with what I new so far and made up the rest as I went along.

As I was progressing my confidence was building and although I still have much to learn I am pretty pleased with the end results.
