Today, after church, the kids and I went to Sam's and I bought myself a new iron.I tried it out on some fabric this evening and it works nicely; hopefully it will last until I find a professional iron.
I kept meaning to reply to your "what kind of iron do you have" post, but never got around to it. I have a Black and Decker that I paid around $40 for at Walmart 2 or 3 years ago that I absolutely love. I've been doing some sewing at my Mother in laws and she has a Rowenta that is a lot like my B&D, but a little lighter in weight(not neccesarily a good thing sometimes), that I like ok. It doesn't have a "lid" on the water resevoir, so the water evaporates a lot faster than in mine. I'm not sure what she paid for it, but since Rownetas are normally a little pricey, I wouldn't pay the difference between it and my B&D.
It looks nice but what's the side handle deal?
ReplyDeleteWhat are you looking for in a "professional" iron that this doesn't have?
