The chickens had pretty much grazed all there was in the orchard so we decided to let them out into the yard and into my garden area.
I was willing to let them have the last of our tomatoes;
And I was willing to let them have some of the pumpkins.
But when I discovered they had feasted on the leaves to my broccoli;
And the leaves to my carrots...I had to say "no more"!
Now they will have to stay locked-up in their own yard until the fall garden has been harvested. It's a good thing we have all those cotton burrs to keep them entertained.
