I've never seen gloves like that. Where on earth did you find them?
The ones we have here are white cotton and they don't seem to do the trick. I noticed the little bumbs on the hand, are they gardening gloves? Sounds dumb but I've often used things specifacaly made for something and used them for a totaly different use.
A metal darning foot.
A pair of quilting gloves.
These are just a few of the tools I find helpful in my quilting adventures.
I bet those gloves would also help you from getting poked with the needle.
