Home Improvement Day 7

While the new closet is being taped and bed, sanded and then taped and bed again...I emptied out the old closet full of Elizabeth's clothes, toys and my extra sewing machines.

This closet is being taken apart so we can use the wood for shelves in the new closet.

Making Doll Clothes

When I am not needed in the walk-in closet I have been doing a little bit of sewing.I have been trying to stock my etsy store for Christmas.

My mom and sister are the ones who got me started in making doll clothes.

It has been a nice way to make a little extra spending money.

Home Improvement Day 6

Today, while I was in town, Pat completed the sheet rock. This is where the window used to be.I had thought the next step was to add the shelves but I was wrong; it was time to do the tape and bed.While in town I purchased some rose colored vinyl for the floor. This closet is really looking nice!

Home Improvement Day 4 & 5

Over the weekend electric wire was put in and outlets were added. Insulation was added to the window; we will be covering this with sheet rock.

Today the sheet rock was added; the ceiling was done first.

And the walls have been started.

After tomorrow the sheet rock should be finished and we will be ready for shelves.

Home Improvement Day 3

Today the shower floor was broken up... And removed.

Tomorrow the outlets will be added.

Fussy Cut Quilt Block Part ?

Our jack hammer had to be taken to the local welder so all work on the closet has stopped; hopefully we will be back in business tomorrow.

In the meantime, I worked some more on my fussy cut quilt and managed to get the top completed.

I hope to have it pinned by this evening so I can begin the machine quilting tomorrow.

Home Improvement Day 2

Today Pat and Jonathan removed the sink; it is marbel and very heavy.

And I removed the cabinet and sheet rock.

Next it was time to remove the studs that framed the shower.

It was very hard so Pat had to help with them.

Tomorrow we begin removing the floor of the shower which is cement.
