Spring Duo Trio Recital

Elizabeth and another girl played together during the Duo Trio Spring recital. They played the theme song to the popular show Downton Abbey and sounded so amazing.

At the recital the piano teacher announced she will be retiring in May. We are going to greatly miss her!

Spring Recital 2016

Elizabeth played Starlight by Mary Leaf first; this song is really pretty.

The second song is Close to You by the Carpenters. 

She played this song as a surprise for Pat.

All her practice really pays off.

I so love listening to her play piano.

This is Crazy

Yesterday, after canning my celery, I canned 7-quart jars of homemade chicken stock. When the jars came out of the canner this is what started happening.

I have never seen anything like this before. The broth will be put in the fridge to be used right away; I don't want to take a chance keeping it on the pantry shelf.

Christmas Recital

This year Elizabeth played The Pink Panther as her song for the Christmas Recital.



She is always so terrified and only focuses on her mistakes; but she did so very well.

Another Year

We spent the last of 2010 having fun with family in El Paso! My sister-in-law's dad took us to Scenic Drive so we could see the beautiful lights.
On the second day of our stay we took the kids to a small town called San Elizario to visit the Licon Dairy. While there Elizabeth and her cousin Richard played and we ate some of the best cheese I have ever had; Queso Asadero.
On the evening of our last day in El Paso it rained and then snowed. The roads in town were clear but driving through the mountains was a little scary since the roads there were covered in ice.

During our stay in El Paso Pat and his brother Barry decided to make a miniature movie. It's just under 1-minute but took over 7 hours to create from start to finish.

Piano Recital Practice

In May Elizabeth has her first piano recital; she will play a song titled Spring Festival.

It's exciting how quickly Elizabeth is learning; she just started piano lessons in January!
