Sewing Room Chaos

Over the weekend I began organizing my sewing room. I have a lot of fabric that I don't use anymore and need to get rid of so I can feel more comfortable while working.A lot of fabric, boxes and containers are now taking over the hallway that leads into my sewing room.
Hopefully this evening or tomorrow I will have my room back in working order once again.

I feel for you.. I've been at my room all day. Finally got the carpet cut out and now I'm dragging everything upstairs to the deck to make sure it gets tossed in the truck tomorrow and out of here. Wish I could take a nap but can't stop now.

Now I don't feel so bad about MY messy stash! When I feel brave enough, I'll take some pictures of my own mess.

You know Patty, I know how you feel. I was in the same mess a few months ago. After a while it's like a beast and has a mind of it's own...it starts creeping out into the hallway, first thing you know you've look at the dining room and guess what??

How I did it was to to decide to pear it down to 3 totes. Whatever was my favorite went into the totes, everything else went to the local quilt guild. If there is no guild in your area, see if there are any churches which have quilting bees for care quilts. We have both, and they are are always crying for donations, and it can do so much good. It will make you feel terrific when you look around your clean and organized sewing room.

And just think! Room for new fabrics. Now it doesn't get any better.:c)

Good luck with your room and hallway.
