Our setting hen hatched a total of 7 chicks over the Easter weekend. This morning when I checked on her one chick was dead; I think she squished it during the night. Pat and I set her up in a pen and she, with the little chicks, were really enjoying the sunshine this morning.
Throughout the day I would spot her walking around teaching the chicks how to scratch and peck.
I just love having chickens!

Even I, who don't like chickens(unless it's on my plate) have to admit this is cute!

I would really love to have chickens, but I have yet to be able to convince my husband!
