Ever since I began keeping the chickens in a pen I have been pulling grass and weeds for them to eat.

They love just about every kind of weed I have given them.

Grass and weeds are plentiful and grown in abundance along the side of the road.

It only takes a few minutes to pick a bucket full and the best part is...it's free!

free and good for them... I'll take a dozen eggs please :)
I wonder if the different weeds would produce different tasting eggs....like wild onions and garlic. Does it affect them? haha....I went down to type in the word verification and the first 5 letters are peeps!!
Hi Patty, I have added you as my blog reader because I love everything homemade and from what I read of Pat aka Posh's blog that you are her DD? Pat's blog is also on my reader list. I love your blog - Natima
We got 11 chicks last Saturday. They are cute. But stinky.
You know - I just within the last week or so put a whole wheelbarrel of weeds on the burn pile - I NEVER thought to give them to the chickens - I'll have to remember this!!!
