For the longest time I have wanted to make homemade hamburger buns;

And since yesterday's weather was perfect for baking;

I gave it a try.

I used my favorite bread recipe and was pleasantly surprised at how good the buns turned out.

The buns were slightly chewy but held together very well. I will definitely be making these again; especially since our local supermarket just raised the prices again on buns; they are now $1.25 a package for the store brand.

Yours sure looked good.. makes me hungry looking at them.
Yummy, those look wonderful. I may have to try that. I have made them once before, but had a specific recipe. Maybe I'll bake tomorrow. Today, I want to spend in the sewing room(if I can drag myself off this couch)
