Last week Elizabeth and I hit the road again for another day trip. Our destination was Quitaque; population 432...plus the pretty deer that walked right in front of us while we were driving.

Just outside Quitaque is Caprock Canyons State Park.

This was our first time to visit this canyon.

We saw pretty flowers everywhere, as well as grasshoppers and butterflies.

The canyon is really pretty and very wide.

And it was so quiet.

This day trip was well worth our time and I am looking forward to our next trip.

I haven't been to Caprock Canyons in AGES, and have been meaning to go again.
