Canning Season Has Begun

Our peach trees will not have peaches this year due to a late freeze. We love cobbler made from fresh peaches so when I saw an ad for peaches (79-cents a pound) at our local grocery store I bought 20 pounds.
Yesterday, after church and an afternoon nap, I canned 9-quarts.
I can almost smell the cobbler that will be baking in the oven this weekend.

Oh yum!! Ya know... I don't think I've EVER made a homemade peach cobbler. I need to get busy!

By the way, my favorite Hawaiian shaved ice is Peaches and cream.

You have been busy! I love canned peaches - I'm going to start looking for some as all the orchards around here were hit by frost. Did Pat get the branch down? You are way braver than I to try and get it down. Love the chicks - they've really grown
