The Mowing Continues

Now that the orchard is finished, except for occasional mowing, I have turned my attention to the trees on the north side of the house.
The grass here is so thick it has begun to fall over.
Pat wanted me to wait to mow this area until it had a chance to go to seed; and seed it did!
Since the grass is so thick I have begun pulling it up by the handful;
In order to thin it enough for the mower to get through.
All the clippings from the orchard were tossed over the fence on the south side of the chicken pen. The chickens just love to scratch and peck this all day long.
All the grass I have begun mowing, from the north side of the house, will be tossed over the fence on the north side of the chicken pen.
The north side of the pen is bare except for old tree bark;
But it shouldn't take long to have this area filled up; especially since the grass and weeds never seem to end.
