Sewing Tip for Patterns

I find it aggravating to try and fit patterns back into their original envelopes.
To solve this problem I keep my patterns in gallon size zip lock bags.
No more torn envelopes and lost pattern pieces.

This is such a great idea. I was doing the same thing only I have so many patterns that it was getting really expensive. My husband was able to order a little bit smaller and lighter weight (and much, much cheaper) plastic bags. I have to use a small piece of tape to keep the bag closed, but it still works.

I do this with the Quart size baggies. Have to fold them a bit smaller, but they still work. Sometimes, I even take the envelope apart at the sides so I can see the front and back both without having to pull it out of the baggie.
