Microwave Cooking

I am not a big microwave user; my toaster oven is my first choice.
However, last week I decided to try my hand at baking potatoes in the microwave. All I can say is WOW, they were so wonderful...soft, fluffy, moist and tasty.
And best of all, they only took 10-minutes to cook! I simply pricked the top, bottom and sides with a fork; cooked on high 5-minutes on one side; turned and cooked on high 5-minutes on the other side. It was that simple and oh so good.

Even if I plan to bake the potatoes with a roast etc. I always start them in the microwave first.. it sure speeds up the time.
