Thrifted Quilt

It always amazes me what people donate to thrift stores.

I spotted this quilt recently and fell in love instantly.
It's completely hand quilted.
Even the binding was stitched by hand.
The quilt is made completely of scraps and so far I have only found 2 small areas that will need to be repaired.
It measures 64x67, the back is all muslin, the batting is cotton and most of the vintage fabrics used in the quilt are cotton.
Are you curious how much I paid for it? A whopping 11-dollars!

what a find! I can't even believe that someone would part with that. I always wonder what the story is behind finds like this.

Lovely. I can tell you will be the one to give it the respect it deserves. Congratulations on your new treasure.

Oh, what a beauty! So glad you were the one to find it instead of someone who'd abuse it.
