The kids and I love to eat salsa; especially with nachos hot from the oven.
Begin by boiling jalapeno peppers until tender.

Next take one or two cans petite diced tomatoes;

And pour into a blender.

Sprinkle in some salt and garlic powder.

When the peppers are ready cut off the tops and add to the tomatoes;

Blend. If you like thick salsa blend for just a few seconds; we like ours to be smooth so I blend until no large pieces are left. Store in the fridge.
This large jar of salsa is blazing hot and will be taken to my brother-in-law's house during Spring Break. My sister says he loves to eat salsa on everything.

Matthew and I both would eat the hot one.. we put hot sauce in our salsa today. Sam won't eat anything hot so I always have to buy mild for him then the rest of us fires ours up with hot sauce.
This looks like a good quickie salsa. Mark and I can our own every year. It takes a long time, but it's soooo good, it's worth it! We usually try to make at least 40-50 quarts a year. If I don't watch him close, Mark adds to many habaneros to it so I can't eat it!
Thanks for sharing your trade secrets. looking forward to the hot sauce and see ya in a week!
