A Needle Book

I have been thinking about ideas for the Fall Sewing Class I plan to teach this year. When I teach a sewing class I like to have examples to show the kids.
One idea I have is for a needle book. I had never heard of a needle book until I saw them one day on etsy. Most of the books are made with felt and I chose to make mine with wool felt; it's a lot thicker than acrylic felt.
The inside pages are made with wool fabric.
I made a few mistakes while working on the needle book; one being my stitches show through to the inside covers.
I think next time I will line the inside, after completing the outside design, with cotton fabric to hide all my stitches.
All in all I am very pleased with my needle book. I used my new book Doodle Stitching for ideas while doing the embroidery. In fact, because of my new book I have titled the sewing class Doodle Embroidery!

That looks awfully cute.. do you still want that white felt? I haven't been able to get into the back room yet.. I planned to let the air out of the mattresses but then found out I have to use the pump to do that and I haven't saw Matt in over a week to get him to do it.. so the cots are still in the way and I can't move the boxes out of the back room until the cots are folded up.. .. one of these days.............. :-)

Hmmm... maybe we should have helped you fold those beds!! Thanks for the hospitality in having us over!

@ Patty: Cute needle book! You sure have me interested in that book you got. I picked up a neat knitting book at the used book section at our library today.

Nice Needlebook, wise choice with the wool felt to because the lanolin in the wool will keep the needles from rusting as opposed to acrylic felt which is only good for short tern storage.
