Thrifty Lunches

When we go to town it is usually for the whole day. Sometimes we order lunch from the dollar menu at a fast food restaurant but this can add up after awhile. So, one way we save on the cost of eating out is to bring lunch from home; and to make this fun we like to use vintage lunch boxes.Elizabeth thinks it is fun to use a lunch box even if it is only filled with snacks.
We usually bring iced tea or water to drink;
But today we brought some of our bargain orange juice.

That reminds me of when we use to take trips and take along lunch meat, bread and snacks. It sure does save a lot of money.
I always take what I call my survival kit in my back pack whenever I'm going out of town. I I even had one with me when I met up with you in Round Rock. I had crackers, nuts, candy and bottled water. I won't even go to the farm without my kit :)

Even from the dollar menu lunches get expensive. This is a great idea to make taking a lunch fun.

Carrying a lunch box makes packed lunches more appealing. Sort of like the appeal of buying those lunchables. You have the crackers, cheese, meat, juice and candy. The lunch box idea can save you money! Maybe I'll retrieve Pamela's old lunch box from the garage.
