When I started the King Quilt, back in February of 2009, I had no idea it would take me so long to finish. One of my biggest delays has been finding a second sheet to match the first sheet; sadly I was not able to, instead I have settled on an animal print sheet that looks nothing like the first except it's dark and better than a pink floral sheet.
My second problem was where to go for pin basting the quilt. I do not have a floor large enough to lay out a king size quilt unless I empty a room of all its furniture. I thought perhaps the library would let me use one of their big empty meeting room but they wanted $25. My second thought was the Garden and Arts Center but they wanted $45 per hour to use one of their empty rooms.
My last hope was our local Mardel Christian Book Store. In the past I was able to use their conference room for teaching sewing classes at no charge.
Thankfully the room was available, at not cost, and I now have the quilt pin basted and ready to begin quilting.

This quilt is absolutely gorgeous! I'm sure you'll enjoy cuddling under it all year round!
Wow, it is really pretty!!!! Can't imagine having to "rent a room" because my blanket is too big!!
