King Quilt pt. 10

When I started the King Quilt, back in February of 2009, I had no idea it would take me so long to finish. One of my biggest delays has been finding a second sheet to match the first sheet; sadly I was not able to, instead I have settled on an animal print sheet that looks nothing like the first except it's dark and better than a pink floral sheet. My second problem was where to go for pin basting the quilt. I do not have a floor large enough to lay out a king size quilt unless I empty a room of all its furniture. I thought perhaps the library would let me use one of their big empty meeting room but they wanted $25. My second thought was the Garden and Arts Center but they wanted $45 per hour to use one of their empty rooms. My last hope was our local Mardel Christian Book Store. In the past I was able to use their conference room for teaching sewing classes at no charge. Thankfully the room was available, at not cost, and I now have the quilt pin basted and ready to begin quilting.
